Now is the Time to Join a Movement Sustained by These Three: Faith, Hope, Charity

Since joining Twitter for the first time this year, I have semi-cautiously wandered through its ‘hallways’.

Today, I wandered across a member ‘tweet’ that captured my attention. It read: “Hate can’t sustain a movement. Only love can do that. Fear can’t sustain a movement. Only faith can do that.  Despair can’t sustain a movement. Only hope can do that.” Three declarative statements put out there for discussion–good or ill, no matter what happens.

The first reply to this ‘tweet’ ventured some doubts, further stating that hate, fear, and despair are having ‘ a pretty good run right now.’ Considering the tumult in our 21st Century society, one could understand the stance.

But the second ‘tweet’ in response was to simply quote Scripture: “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity..” 1 Cor 13:13 (KJV)

Scripture goes directly to the point. To my readers, I direct your eyes to the Central Point of Reference for ALL humankind: The Word of God, Jesus Christ. When it seems hate, fear, and despair are having ‘a pretty good run of things,” I implore you to turn to the Holy Bible, the King James Version, as a Central Point of Reference. Within its pages you will find accounts of God’s Love for all Humankind, stories of faithful believers in that God and His Love, and the Hope of Salvation, Redemption, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Blessed Assurance indeed.
